The country is facing its sharpest surge in malnutrition ever recorded. 3.5 million children under five and 1.2 million pregnant/breastfeeding mothers are already malnourished.

°Õ³ó±ðÌýdevastating 6.0 magnitude earthquake at the end of August 2025, claimed the lives of 2,200 people and left families without food, shelter or livelihoods. 

This disaster was just the latest in a series of crises suffocating Afghanistan. Decades of war, repeated earthquakes and floods, and harsh economic sanctions have left millions without basic necessities.
